Vietnam (officially known as the “Socialist Republic of Vietnam”) is a communist country slowly directing through a market economy. From a commercial point of view, the country plays a strategic role due to its location across the South East Asia trade routes, its membership to the Eurasian Economic Union and its availability of natural resources.
Moreover, the adhesion to ASEAN (Association of South-East Asian Nations) in 1995 and the active participation as a Member of the World Trade Organization in 2007, led the country to the development of a policy oriented to the service liberalization and to the reduction of the barriers on the exchanges.
The purpose of this focus is underlying opportunities related to the increase of exchanges (commercial, cultural, etc.) between Vietnam and the Rest of the World.
